Description: Organization in Las Colinas is looking to bring on a Sr. SQL Server DBA that also has some Oracle DBA experience (just enough Oracle knowledge to not BLOW IT UP and can get around in AIX). This is a 6 mos. contract to hire position.
Must Haves:
- DBA - SQL Server 2005 (Heavier on the SQL Server side) with some with Oracle 9i/10g
- 7+ years experience in a DBA role
- Data warehouse experience
- Database mirroring
- Replication services
- Active and Passive Clustering
- Stored Procedures
- Monitoring SQL environment
Pluses:
- Lawson Financials
- Lightspeed (Backup Tool)
- Knowledge of MOM (Microsoft Operations Manager)
- Oracle Applications Suite
Daily:
- 20% of job will be focused on Oracle / 80% of job will be focused on SQL Server
- SQL tuning / query tuning
- Stored procedures and code promotions
- Design analysis work (database design)
- On-call rotation 1 week/month (not initially)
