Job Description
|
Three COBOL Programmers needed for KENDA's current government client in Sacramento, CA. to provide support to a number of legacy financial applications. COBOL, JCL, and Serial Attached SCSI (SAS).
Experience: least five (5) years of application maintenance support experience on systems utilizing COBOL, Serial Attached SCSI (SAS), Job Control Language (JCL) and Customer Information Control System (CICS).
The Consultant’s responsibilities for this contract include those tasks necessary to properly support several legacy financial applications, including, but not limited to COBOL programming, SAS programming, JCL creation, CICS support and documentation.
2. Contractor Tasks and Responsibilities
The contractor may be expected to perform the following tasks:
• Under the direction of Information Technology (IT) staff, provide application maintenance services for several legacy applications written in COBOL and SAS using both JCL batch processes and CICS on-line processing monitors.
• Update system documentation as necessary.
• Attend customer meetings as requested.
3. Deliverables
The following deliverables to be provided by the Consultant:
• Detailed work plans.
• Application programming.
• Updated system documentation.
• Updated source code documentation.
• Design/code review materials as required.
• Design/code review meetings as specified.
• Preparation of test plans.
• Formal documentation of test results.
• Weekly written status reports specifying activity by hours, completed tasks, and projected work for the following week.
