The Company, which is located in Aliso Viejo, California, provides strategic system implementation support and services to residential and commercial properties.
Essential Functions:
This position will specify, test, evaluate and recommend new technologies for use in residential control systems, high-end consumer audio/video systems and networked multimedia systems. Candidate will perform systems integration of audio/video and data networking hardware, software and systems. We are looking for someone that can Innovate state-of-the-art solutions that add value to, or replace, existing implementations as well as act as a technical leader and mentor for more junior members of the Systems Engineering team. The candidate reports directly to the Director, Systems Engineering and his primary responsibility is to develop and implement audio, video, control and multimedia network system solutions. This includes generating requirement specifications, conceptualizing and presenting alternatives, developing hardware and software solutions, and integrating and testing those solutions.
The candidate should possess:
- Ability to conceptualize systems and solutions, articulate tradeoffs and methods of implementation
- Excellent deductive reasoning and trouble-shooting skills
- Ability to multi-task research and projects
- Ability to work as an individual contributor or as part of a team
- Hands-on use of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, signal generators and analyzers
- Working knowledge of several of the following technologies: networking, storage, control systems, sensor, audio/video, data communications and wireless PAN/LAN technologies
- Knowledge of networks, servers, and clients for multimedia applications
- Knowledge of Windows 2000, XP, Office and Visio
Additional Experience desired:
- Ten or more years of experience designing and integrating complex systems containing a variety of leading edge technologies
- BSEE, BSCS or equivalent
- Familiarity with C, C++, HTML and XML
- Experience in the consumer audio/video electronics industry
